Beckerbillett

Germany

Beckerbillett faced increasing pressure on its systems as online ticket sales grew. To support their digital transformation, the internal team brought us in to help stabilize the platform and accelerate development. With support, ticket sales rose and onboarding time for new partners was cut by two-thirds.

167% increase in ticket sales

The Challenge

Beckerbillett provides museums, zoos, and cultural venues with full ticketing solutions, from printed tickets and access gates to digital sales and visitor management. As customer expectations shifted toward faster, digital-first experiences, their legacy system began to show its limits.

The platform originally used physical hosting for it’s data, this was costly and difficult to scale. Meanwhile, the business needed more flexibility to onboard partners, expand sales channels, and respond to market shifts. Beckerbillett’s internal team partnered with us to modernize their architecture, reduce costs, and build the foundations for scalable growth.

Our Solution

Beckerbillett needed a way to grow their ticketing solution. The goal was to reduce infrastructure costs, improve onboarding, and create a scalable platform that could evolve with market needs. Developers from our team worked alongside theirs to focus on four key areas: stability, flexibility, partner reach, and speed.

1

Scalable
architecture

We rebuilt the legacy system as a modular monolith and moved it to the cloud. This cut hosting costs and allowed Beckerbillett to scale different parts of the system independently.

2

Modular
portal

The new portal simplifies ticket creation, pricing, and partner onboarding. It supports real-time syncing, dynamic pricing based on visitor choices, and an API for wider distribution.

3

Gate access
systems

We developed apps for mobile POS devices, scanners, and gate terminals, all synced with the cloud. This helped Beckerbillett’s goal of offering more products to their customers.

4

Unified
Codebase

Using Blazor MAUI, we created a cross-platform interface. As a result, the standing sales terminal was delivered 50% faster than the handheld sales device. It also lowers time for updates and creates a consistent UX across all devices.
