Our client, an international IT provider, needed a faster way to manage and access complex documentation. DevelopX created a generative AI chat assistant that allows employees to instantly find and understand information within technical and certification documents using natural language questions.

The Challenge

The client develops and offers a wide range of software products to international customers. Managing diverse certifications, such as ISO and compliance documentation, had become a major challenge. Employees needed a way to quickly access the right information across hundreds of pages of product and quality specifications without manually searching through files.

Our team was asked to design a chatbot solution powered by a Large Language Model (LLM) that could understand user questions, analyze relevant sections within internal documents, and deliver precise, reliable answers in seconds.

Document intelligence and LLM integration

The chatbot uses an advanced Large Language Model (LLM) combined with vector search technology to read and interpret extensive certification and product documentation. It can process multiple file types, including DOC and PDF.

Users can ask natural-language questions and instantly receive accurate, contextual answers. It reduces the need to manually navigate lengthy ISO or compliance files.

Flexible interface and customization

We designed a simple, responsive chat interface that can adapt to the client’s brand and integrate with existing internal tools, ensuring accessibility across devices and teams.

Built around security

Built with Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and pgvector, the solution is optimized for secure, on-premise operation. Future phases include a full transition away from external AI providers to safeguard confidential data.
